Day Thirteen: Well That Was Interesting...

Today was intense. Well, parts of it were. I woke up, did the recycling, and helped decorate the cafe for our winter semi. Nothing unusual, crazy, out of sorts, right? That's where the night takes a detour into a scene from a movie. Seemingly innocent, semi-formals are meant for dressing up, taking pictures with friends, and dancing until your feet bleed. This time around however, things took a turn for the worst when we arrived at Candy Land last night. Don't get me wrong, every one looked great, the music was decent, and the decorations were amazing (yeah StuCo!). It's the poor decision making that left us with sour tastes in our mouths instead of the sweet we anticipated. It's really unfortunate when good people make bad choices, but that's what life is all about. Hopefully everyone involved learns the valuable lesson that has been taught, I know I have. I'm not saying that every decision I've made has been the right one, but in all honesty the situation that many of my classmates were put into was due to the lack of thought put into seeing the big picture.
Beyond the drama, I do have to say I had a great time. It's fun to dress up every once in a while, and it's even more fun to see everyone look so beautiful. At the end of the day, we put our feet up, toasted to good fortune, and got a great night's shut eye.
